A Toast to Marilyn

Tomorrow I am off to honour the inimitable Marilyn Monroe on the 50th anniversary of her passing.  Before I go, I invite you all to toast with me to the greatest star the world has ever known,

The cocktail I have created for Marilyn has been dubbed the Lorelei Lee, after one of Marilyn's unforgettable characters.  It's sweet, sparkling, and surprisingly sophisticated...like Lorelei, and like Marilyn herself.  Give it a try, and here's to Marilyn.

Lorelei Lee

1/2 oz Chambord
1/2 oz Amaretto
1/2 oz lemon juice

Shake with ice in cocktail shaker and pour into a flute.  Top with chilled Prosecco.  Enjoy!
